Privacy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
Weigh the Word is a simple, static reading site. It's built to respect your privacy, and it collects as little as possible.
The short version
- No accounts, no sign-ins, no newsletters. There's nothing to log into and nothing you're asked to hand over.
- No advertising, and no advertising trackers.
- No cookies are set for tracking or profiling.
- We don't collect personal information about you, and we don't sell or share data — because we don't gather it in the first place.
Analytics
To understand which topics people find helpful, the site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly by design: it is cookieless and does not collect personally identifiable information. It doesn't track you across other websites or build a profile of you. It records aggregate, anonymous signals — such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visits come from — so the content can be improved. Nothing here identifies you personally.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like virtually all web hosts, Vercel's servers may automatically process standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) as part of delivering the site securely and reliably. This is ordinary infrastructure logging, handled by the host, and is not used by Weigh the Word to identify or track individuals. See Vercel's own privacy documentation for details on its practices.
Links to other sites
Some topics link to outside resources (books, articles). Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it. Any update will keep the same commitment: collect as little as possible, and never sell or trade your information.
